An exclusive hike during the most magical hours of the day, when the grassy plateaus above 1,600 meters — just beyond the beech forest — are lit with golden tones. The warm light gently brushes the ridgelines, transforming the landscape into a stage of colors and silence.

The route winds through lush high-altitude meadows and dense beech woods, in a landscape shaped over time by the forces of karst geology: sinkholes, deep valleys, ancient stone shelters, and surprising panoramic openings.

Highlights

The panoramic viewpoint is truly one of a kind: we gaze in awe at mountains we’ve always dreamed of reaching but that remain inaccessible, as they lie within a strict nature reserve. Among them are Costa Camosciara, Tre Mortari, Balzo della Chiesa, Monte
As the last rays of sunlight brush the mountain peaks, we feel the thrill of witnessing — almost touching — a vast portion of the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park.
The limestone cliffs surrounding Serra Matarazzo and Monte San Nicola reflect the phenomenon of the Appennine alpenglow (enrosadira), tinting the mountainsides with hues of pink, orange, and violet.
