During this experience we will explore the social life of wolves, with beautiful evening hikes in the territory of the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park.
The newly renovated Bisegna refuge offers warm Italian hospitality, cuisine and a magical spot to rest in the mountains. Set high up in the mountains, resting on the saddle between Pescasseroli and Bisegna, the mountain refuge offers guests a unique setting to rest and spend the night. Two rooms accommodate romantic stays from two guests sharing or larger groups of ten exploring and hiking in the area.
The Prato Rosso shelter, is situated in Pescasseroli and it is surrounded by one of the most interesting and beautiful beech forests of the Abruzzo National Park territory. The shelter was built with stone and cement by local workers. On the ground floor there is a kitchen, a fireplace and a little bathroom; a ladder allows you to go up to a double wooden loft and to the dormitory, with 8 comfortable beds.
The Stazzo Acquasfranatara in Val fondillo of Opi originates from the recovery of an old pastoral shelter and part of the strategic plan of the widespead shelter in the area of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park. Recentely renovated it offer homely hospitality, caracterized by spacious dining room with a wood-burning stove and a loft that can accomodate 6 people.
Our journey through the Central Apennines rewilding area takes us across thousands of hectares of beautiful rugged mountains, deep valleys and extensive beech forest.
Walking through the narrow streets of the old town of Pescasseroli, you will be fascinated by small stone houses, shops that sell local products, fountains and ancient historic buildings. You will find here the centre of our activities. It is a modern information centre with a new open gallery, which hosts international artists related to the naturalistic image and documentation. We are able to satisfy the most demanding needs.
