The newly renovated Bisegna refuge offers warm Italian hospitality, cuisine and a magical spot to rest in the mountains. Set high up in the mountains, resting on the saddle between Pescasseroli and Bisegna, the mountain refuge offers guests a unique setting to rest and spend the night. Two rooms accommodate romantic stays from two guests sharing or larger groups of ten exploring and hiking in the area.
The Principessa Maria di Piemonte shelter, more commonly known as Prato Rosso shelter, is situated at 1536 metres above sea level and it is surrounded by one of the most interesting and beautiful beech forests of the Abruzzo National Park territory. The shelter was built with stone and cement by local workers. On the ground floor there is a kitchen, a fireplace and a little bathroom; a ladder allows you to go up to a double wooden loft and to the dormitory, with 8 comfortable beds.
The Stazzo Acquasfranatara of Val fondillo originates from the recovery of an old pastoral shelter and part of the strategic plan of the widespead shelter in the area of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park. Recentely renovated it offer homely hospitality, caracterized by spacious dining room with a wood-burning stove and a loft that can accomodate 6 people.
